Project Overview: DoubleTree Hilton

DoubleTree by Hilton is an American hotel chain managed by Hilton Worldwide. Their predominantly frontline staff include housekeeping, maintenance, and kitchen staff.

The company was looking for a convenient and cost-effective way to communicate and send payslips to their frontline employees.

Challenges

  • Before Jem, the hotel manually printed and distributed payslips to all 113 employees. 20% were lost regularly, resulting in lots of queries for the payroll team.


  • The had highly disjointed communication with a WhatsApp group per department. Messages were often ‘lost’ and there was no way to track receipt/read.

  • Since using Jem to send payslips to their employees via WhatsApp, DoubleTree is yet to receive a payslip query from their employees.
  • With Jem, DoubleTree is now able to send announcements, questions, and surveys straight to an employee via WhatsApp, informing them about new policies, job vacancies, promotions and more, in just a few clicks.
  • DoubleTree is now able to track when an announcement is delivered and read by each employee.
  • Using Jem's Earned Wage Access product, they have empowered their employees, giving them early access to their earned-but-unpaid earnings. As a result, they haven't received any loan requests from their employees since.
