How much does it cost to use Jem?

Accessing payslips, leave, and announcements through Jem is free for employees. For on-demand pay, Jem charges a once-off fee of R5.75 PLUS 3.4% per withdrawal. For example - if you take an advance of R100, you only pay R9.15 (R5.75 + {3.4% * R100}). There are no hidden fees and registering is free.
How can I update my mobile number on my profile?

You can update your mobile number by sending a WhatsApp to 060 096 0856 or contacting our customer service line on 087 058 0944.
What data security ensures the safety of our data?

Our data is hosted by Google Cloud Services using industry-standard encryption. Data is not shared with any 3rd parties and is only used to provide services to your employees via Whatsapp which uses end-to-end encryption.

All the above is fully POPIA compliant.

Employees are also required to self-authenticate using 2-factor authentication when interacting with Jem for the first time.
How does an employer manage leave balances using Jem? You can upload leave balances and employees can then view leave balances on the Jem chatbot. 
How do I know that my employees are on Whatssap? 95.4% of internet users aged 16 to 64 have WhatsApp, We also have USSD codes that do the same thing as WhatsApp through SMS
How will I get Unions on board with this? We have a number of clients that have unionized workers, and we have worked with the unions on some occasions.
